Crystal Palace to make loan decision on two players, they could struggle for game-time at Selhurst Park - Opinion

As Crystal Palace look set to enjoy some impressive recruitment this summer, two players are now likely to depart on loan.

This summer has gotten off to an exciting start for Crystal Palace with Dougie Freedman already getting busy in the transfer market.

Chadi Riad will be the first signing of the Oliver Glasner era as he passed his medical this past week, and now just awaits the announcement.

Reports in recent days suggest that he won’t be the new boy for long, with Daichi Kamada edging closer by the day to Selhurst Park.

After these two deals, Jobe Bellingham is said to be a priority target for the Eagles, with Freedman working hard to convince the 18-year-old.

Crystal Palace to make a decision on David Ozoh and Jesurun Rak-Sakyi

Both Kamada and Bellingham are players who will go into the group of players in both central midfield and also in the number 10 position.

This would be bad news for two players currently in the squad under Glasner, specifically David Ozoh and Jesurun Rak-Sakyi.

Neither of the talented youngsters have managed to get many minutes under the Austrian boss, with Rak-Sakyi suffering from injury woes.

Now it’s been reported by the South London Press that Palace are set to make a decision over the pair in mid-July, which will be whether they head out on loan or not.

The report continues that Millwall are interested in both players, however, they are also not likely to make decisions until later in the window.

Ozoh and Rak-Sakyi heading on loan makes sense

Ozoh and Rak-Sakyi are both exciting players, but with arrivals like Kamada and Bellingham, their opportunities would be limited.

Already fairly low in the pecking order, sending the duo on loan would be ideal as they’d get far more experience and game time than if they stayed at Selhurst Park.

It would also free up the squad space without having to send two players who are ready for senior football, back down to the youth squads.

A loan makes lots of sense for both of these players this summer and we can definitely see it happening.
