‘Exceptional’ Tottenham summer target has now made decision on who’ll be his next club

Tottenham Hotspur have now seen one of their summer transfer targets make a decision on his future ahead of the window opening.

Although the window has not officially opened, Tottenham are up and running this summer with the signing of Timo Werner on a season-long loan deal.

However, there are a number of positions which Ange Postecoglou is looking to address at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.

Postecoglou has already admitted that he is looking to sign a new centre-back at Tottenham over the coming months despite bringing in Radu Dragusin in January.

Departures of Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez has meant options at the back were limited for Spurs during the winter when Micky van de Ven suffered through injury.

One defender who is believed to have been on Tottenham’s summer wishlist has now taken one step closer to securing his next move this summer.

Tottenham summer target decides on his next club

Securing Europa League football may provide Tottenham with some extra room to manoeuvre in the transfer window over the coming months.

Daniel Levy has already announced that Tottenham have produced record levels of revenue in their latest financial report with over £500m raised.

Despite this, The Spurs News understood Tottenham had their eyes on Tosin Adarabioyo as a free agent option this summer.

However, the 26-year-old has now decided in who his next club will be as he leaves Craven Cottage as a free agent.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the centre-back now looks to be heading to Fulham’s local rivals Chelsea.

Alongside Spurs, Newcastle United were interested in the 26-year-old and were seemingly making good headway in their pursuit of the defender.

But the Blues have entered the frame as Newcastle looked to tie up a deal, Chelsea have come in and Tosin looks set to become Chelsea’s first signing of the Enzo Maresca era.

And Spurs could be missing out on a smart buy with Pep Guardiola having previously hailed Tosin as an “exceptional” defender.

Tottenham may find it difficult to entice new centre-back

Signing Dragusin back in January could well have hindered Tottenham’s chances of landing a new centre-back this summer.

The Romanian has seriously struggled for game time this season at Tottenham having made the move from Genoa as a result of Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven‘s formidable partnership.

Dragusin’s agent has spoken openly about his client’s lack of game time since joining Spurs with the Lilywhites only competing in the Premier League at the time.

More opportunities may be available next season with European football on offer, however, it wouldn’t be surprising if Dragusin’s agents have put off the likes of Tosin joining.
