Aston Villa fans were paying a close attention to Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher during his performance for England on Monday night.
This comes amid recent transfer speculation that Villa are looking at Conor Gallagher as a potential target this summer.
The Telegraph claimed in May that Unai Emery’s Villa side has expressed an interest in signing Gallagher from Chelsea this summer. In addition, the £50m-rated Blues midfielder is attracting interest from rivals Tottenham.
Meanwhile, The Evening Standard said last month that Chelsea are willing to listen to offers for Gallagher in this summer window. His sale would generate pure profit on the balance sheet because he’s an academy graduate.
Conor Gallagher plays 90 minutes for England
Gallagher, 24, started and played the full match of England’s 3-0 win over Bosnia-Herzegovina on Monday night.
It’s the first of two warm-up matches for England before Gareth Southgate names his final 26-man squad for this summer’s Euro 2024 tournament.
It was a typical Gallagher performance with plenty of aggression and effort in the centre of the park alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Surely, the Chelsea central midfielder will be on the plane for the Euros.
