Report: Manchester United have now made a £51m bid to sign 'incredible' Liverpool target

Manchester United have made an offer for one of Liverpool’s summer transfer targets.

United and Liverpool are the most bitter of rivals on the pitch, and now, it looks as though they’re also clashing off it as they go head to head for the same player.

Indeed, according to Marca, Manchester United have now tabled a bid of around €60m (£51m) offer for Leny Yoro.

Manchester United bid for Leny Yoro

According to this report, United have put a £51m offer on the table for Yoro.

This comes not long after it was reported that Liverpool had forcefully entered the race to sign the Lille star.

At the age of just 18, Yoro is certainly one for the future, and both clubs could really benefit from signing this young man.

Indeed, both United and Liverpool are in desperate need of some fresh blood at the back this summer.

Raphael Varane and Joel Matip have both left their respective clubs, and what better way to replace two veterans than signing an 18-year-old who has been tipped to be the next big thing.

Yoro could go elsewhere

The two English giants are both said to be keen on Yoro, but there’s no guarantee that he will indeed end up in the Premier League.

Di Marzio has claimed that both PSG and Real Madrid are also keen on the ‘incredible’ defender, and that’s a real spanner in the works.

With all due respect to United, winning a transfer battle against PSG, Madrid and Liverpool won’t be easy.

All three of these clubs will have Champions League football on offer next season, while a move to PSG offers Yoro the chance to stay in France where he is settled, and a move to Madrid is much more prestigious, especially after Los Blancos just captured their 15 European title.

Manchester United may have acted decisively in the race to sign Yoro, but make no mistake about it, this is a transfer race that is far from being over.
